Qualifications to vote

Anyone who meets these qualifications is eligible to vote in elections held in Arlington:

• U.S. citizen;
• 18 years or older (or who will be 18 by the next general election);
• legal resident of Arlington County;
• not claiming voting rights elsewhere; and
• not convicted of a felony.

In order to participate, an eligible person must also be registered to vote prior to the election.
