Arlington summer picnic

2009 picnic a success! Nearly 100 friends and guests came out for our summer picnic at Potomac Overlookar Park, for an afternoon of good food, friendship, and promoting the 2009 campaigs. Thanks to all who attended -- with special appreciation to George and Susan Allen.

The Arlington County Republican Committee invites you to join us for our second annual GOP summer picnic on Saturday, July 25. (Rain date: Sunday, July 26.)

Our special guest will be former U.S. Sen. George Allen. All three Arlington delegate candidates -- Eric Brescia, Aaron Ringel and Vicki Vasques -- will be there, along with representatives from the statewide McDonnell, Bolling and Cuccinelli campaigns.

The location is Potomac Overlook Regional Park in north Arlington. The park is just off Military Rd., and easily accessible from nearly everywhere (see map at right).

The event will include summer picnic fare (burgers, hot dogs, sides, cold drinks) and the opportunity to socialize with Republicans from neighborhoods around the County. (Please note: Alcohol is not allowed in the park.)

Proceeds from the event will support the Arlington GOP in 2009, including get-out-the-vote activities for our candidates this fall.
