Arlington summer picnic

The Arlington County Republican Committee invites you to meet the candidates at our 1st annual GOP summer picnic on Sunday, September 7. (The picnic had been planned for Sat., Sep. 6, but was rescheduled due to potential heavy rain and wind from Hurricane Hanna. The weather forecast for Sunday is delightful!)

Featured guests include Congressional nominee Mark Ellmore and two of the candidates for Attorney General in 2009: State Sen. Ken Cuccinelli of Fairfax County and former Arlington School Board Chairman Dave Foster.

The location is Potomac Overlook Regional Park in north Arlington (just off Military Rd.), easily accessible from nearly everywhere. The event will include summer picnic fare (burgers, hot dogs, sides, cold drinks) and the opportunity to socialize with Republicans from neighborhoods around the County. (Please note: Alcohol is not allowed in the park.)

Proceeds from the event will support the activities of the Arlington GOP, including get-out-the-vote events this fall.
