The 48th House District stretches from the Fairfax County line (McLean) in the northwest to the Alexandria City border on the southeast. It includes much of North Arlington (generally north of Washington Blvd.) and parts of South Arlington (west of Arlington Ridge Rd.), as well as Fort Myer and the Pentagon. In 2009, Republican Aaron Ringel is running for the seat.
