The GOP nominee will be selected at the Republican State Convention on Sat., May 31. Those wishing to attend that convention must sign up through the County Committee. See more on reorganization and conventions.

For U.S. Congress

Voters in the 8th District will have another opportunity to elect a new member of Cognress to replace discredited incumbent Democrat Jim Moran. Republicans Mark Ellmore and Amit Singh have filed for the seat.

The GOP nominee will be selected by a Congressional primary on Tue., June 10. See more on the GOP candidates for Congress.

  • County Board - one member
    Incumbent: Barbara Favola (D)
  • School Board - two members
Incumbents: Libby Garvey (D), Frank Wilson (D)

Arlington Republicans will nominate a candidate for County Board by early summer. The filing deadline for candidates is Fri, May 9; and a canvass election (if required) would be held Sat., June 7. Prospective candidates are invited to contact us.
