Here’s a quick update on last week’s regular monthly meeting. We discussed a variety of important issues, addressed upcoming convention proceedings, and presented volunteer opportunities.
We are looking to raise the Committee’s visibility in the community by distributing mailers, printed door hangers, and fact sheets prior to the election. Be on the lookout for these materials in the coming months.
We are also excited for the upcoming the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) Convention on April 29&30 and the 8th Congressional District Republican Committee convention on May 7! If you are attending, be sure to bring a government issued ID and remember that there will be accommodations for mobility impaired individuals. For more information, visit the RPV and 8th District websites.
In preparation for the upcoming elections, RPV and RNC will be training and organizing volunteers to support GOP efforts in 2016 and beyond. Andrew Loposser, a Regional Field Director for RPV, will be leading these efforts to better engage the community by leveraging the strengths of volunteers and with a structured process for identifying and meeting with interested neighbors.
Thanks to the numerous candidates who spoke at our meeting and are running for Republican National Convention Delegate, Republican State Central Committee, and Congressional offices!
We look forward to seeing you at next month’s meeting on May 25, 2106 at 7:30 PM! Details about the meeting are on our website.
Thanks to Christina Perez for drafting this post!
